Chat Primer Tutorial
The idea of Chat goes back to 1974 with Talkomatic … surprising how long it has been around. Chat is online text messaging in a realtime environment. As with all things communication, chat protocols (Chatiquette) have developed and terms like “… has left the room” make more sense when you are on Chat, just about to leave it, perhaps. So, add this to all the “languages” around.
Chat can be good for Gaming to add a layer of interest to the game, perhaps, or maybe it would be crucial to some games.
One approach could be to have a subdomain within your website with a Chat website, and PHP has a good product (though there are bigger experts than me, who would point you to other great products) called phpMyChat, and there is a version here on this domain here.
