Here in Australia we have a really interesting talk show hosted by Fenella Kernebone (By Design) who does spots on ABC Radio National.

Today they did a story about the history of the @ keyboard symbol, and, of course, what that meant for email…

The @ symbol is centuries old, recently elevated to mass use. The symbol itself has an air of mystery.
